Structural Steel Site Surveys planning and delivery
A focused site survey reduces uncertainty before detailing and fabrication. We record relevant dimensions, bearing locations, access restrictions and visible interfaces with existing construction, then compare them with the issued drawings.
Surveys are particularly valuable for refurbishment and extension projects where existing buildings may differ from historic plans. Opening-up work may still be required where critical structure is concealed.
To prepare for a survey, provide the latest drawings, site contact, access arrangements and a clear description of the proposed steelwork. Survey information is then used to support coordination; it does not replace structural design.
